Cashier daily record books, 1939-1972.

The series contains the cashier daily record books from the Treasurer's Office from 1939 to 1953 and from 1959 to 1972. There is a gap in the records for 1954 to 1958. The record books list daily receipts and disbursements by the cashier for the payment of warrants drawn on the Treasury by the Comptroller's Office. It appears that from August 1939 to April 1942, two books were used simultaneously to register the accounts from tellers in Cage 1 and Cage 2. Also included is a separate cashiers record book for the legislative pay window from 1957 to 1963.
